Pumpkin Spice Croissant Bread Pudding with praline sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 croissants, torn into bite-size pieces

Custard

  • 1/2 can Pumpkin puree
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin spice creamer
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Praline Sauce

  • 1/4 cup or 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
  • pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Whisk all ingredients above for custard. tear croissants into bite size pieces, and fold into custard.
  • Add to a lightly oiled baking dish.
  • Ensure all croissant pieces are evenly distributed and hydrated with the custard mix.
  • Bake at 375 F(or 190.5 C) for at least 45 minutes covered with foil.
  • Uncover foil and bake another 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Pierce with a fork or skewer to ensure it’s cooked through.
  • Let cool.

For praline sauce:

  • Heat butter and brown sugar over medium heat.
  • Add heavy cream and bring to a slight boil until thickened.
  • Take off heat, add pinch of salt, mix in nuts.
  • Drizzle over bread pudding or your favorite dessert while hot.
  • Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for lil extra razzle dazzle lol
