As someone who has worked in high-stress environments for most of my adult life, I quickly learned to adapt to new spaces. However, that doesn’t always mean it was comfortable. Change often causes discomfort, which is why I believe managing stress is crucial.
My wellness practices have evolved over the years and have helped me adapt to constant movement and long, busy work hours. The key is prioritizing the needs of both my body and mind, ensuring they are always in sync with one another.
Understanding the connection between body and mind has allowed me to develop routines that set the tone for an optimal day. Even if things don’t go as planned, I still practice mindfulness to maintain peace between body and mind, helping me manage stress effectively.
Stress is a major contributor to chronic illnesses and diseases in our communities today. When paired with certain consumption habits that aren’t monitored or balanced, it can catch up with us. Our decisions matter. I never claim to be perfect, as I often promote comfort foods on my website and social platforms. However, I also emphasize balance, believing that (nearly) anything in moderation is safe as long as we remain mindful and kind to our bodies. ❤
