So for a few months after a bit of stress and climate change after a move, I, unfortunately, developed a minor case of ECZEMA.  Now, my husband suffers from psoriasis which also developed after a move and increased stressed so at first I was almost convinced that I indeed developed psoriasis too.  However, our symptoms were a bit different.  [WARNING: Next details are kind of gross]  At first, I developed an itchy reddish bumpy rash on my neck which I thought was just an allergic reaction.  Then a few weeks later I noticed a scaly flaking surface irritating the hell out of my eyelid which I thought may have been from makeup.

I suffered this condition for a few weeks longer attempting to use natural resolutions such as Shea butter, coconut oil, or Jamaican black castor oil (which I’m sure was wrong to use considering that’s better for hair and way too thick to use as an oil for my face).  Of course, none of those things worked and then I realized I had an actual condition.

So, after tons of research, I managed to narrow my results down to eczema.  Now, I looked at the pictures on Google and, thankfully, my symptoms weren’t nearly as extreme as what I saw, but it was time to fix it EARLY.  So I went to the store in search of a helpful product.  Unbeknownst to me, there was the EXACT product I was looking for (the last one on the shelf too ;P).

I got home and tried out the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin after cleaning my face with fresh aloe vera.  The results were IMMEDIATE!! I kid you not.  My skin felt SO soft and supple.  I literally saw healing after application.  It was UNREAL.  Guys, trust me, this sh*t is legit.  I wish I would have picked this stuff up first.  Although it is a little on the pricier side compared to other moisturizers ($11), it is delicious to the skin!!

Here’s a short breakdown of how it works so well on the skin:

Aveeno is known to be one of the best moisturizers to soothe problem skin with the use of oatmeal.  The Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream includes colloidal oatmeal.  I was like WTF is that when I first saw it, but after some research, I found that colloidal oatmeal is finely ground oatmeal that is mixed with liquid, boiled, and strained.  But just like cooked oatmeal, this mixture becomes gooey helping as an even topical application.  With oatmeal being known for its relieving soothing agents, it makes for the PERFECT moisturizer skin protectant in preventing eczema and other xerotic skin disorders.
